Saskatoon, SK., June 30, 2020 – Organizers of the Ag in Motion Discovery Plus online event this summer are finding new ways for farmers and agribusiness companies to connect with each other, share information and get updates despite not being able to meet in person.
Ag in Motion Discovery Plus is a new digital event delivering interactive agriculture content from the field plus innovative programming and opportunities to meet up virtually throughout the show on July 21 – 25, 2020.
“We know that farmers have always looked to farm shows to be able to talk with other producers and company representatives about what’s new in agriculture,” says Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “In planning the online experience, we wanted it to be as much about interaction as it is about knowledge sharing. We think Western Canadian farmers will like what they see when they join us for Ag in Motion Discovery Plus.”
O’Connor notes that the opportunities to meet with other farmers is similar to being on a social media channel where you have the ability to comment on discussions and send private messages. He explains Ag in Motion Discovery Plus offers additional opportunities that include participating in chat discussions while presentations are going on, posting questions for the speakers, and even attending private roundtable discussions where smaller group meetings are focused around a certain topic or product.
“Producers from across Western Canada can meet in the platform and visit virtual trade show booths where company representatives will have information and videos uploaded and special offers to display,” says O’Connor. “Producers can even reach out and book a private meeting with a company rep right at the show. This lets producers get the information that matters to them without leaving the farm.”
Farmers who register for Ag in Motion Discovery Plus are automatically entered into an engagement contest with a chance to win a 1,000-gallon Westeel fuel tank courtesy of sponsor AGI and a full tank of diesel from Ag in Motion Discovery Plus. Registrants who engage throughout the show by adding sessions to their schedule, bookmarking exhibitor booths, requesting meetings with company reps, sending direct messages and participating in live discussions will increase their chance to win. The winner will be selected at the end of the show and announced on July 29, 2020 on Ag in Motion’s social media channels.
“AGI has been a proud sponsor of Ag in Motion since the very beginning,” says David Postill, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Customer Experience for AGI. “This year we’re pleased to contribute to this exciting registration contest and we look forward to seeing everyone digitally in July!”
Ag in Motion Discovery Plus takes place July 21 – 25, 2020 as a free online event for farmers to get a unique vantage point on current agricultural information. Registration for Ag in Motion Discovery Plus is available now at aginmotion.ca.
