Jul 16, 2024 | News

Langham, Sask., July 16, 2024 – Farmers and visitors attending Ag in Motion this summer will have more booths than ever to discover at Western Canada’s largest outdoor farm show.

“We are so pleased to be able to mark our tenth year with 607 exhibitors, our highest number of booths ever,” says Show Director Rob O’Connor. “We’ve been expanding this farm show for a decade, and we appreciate every exhibitor that’s put their support behind us all these years.”

Ag in Motion gates opened this morning at 8:30 a.m. with a string of vehicles waiting to get into the event. O’Connor says large crowds are expected over the next three days with Prairie farmers coming to see firsthand all that companies have to share in equipment, livestock, crops and agriculture technology.

Visitors to Ag in Motion will find an extensive lineup of field demonstrations, new product launches and exciting new features on July 16 through 18. The show takes place every year in July on 100+ acres in Langham, Sask., northeast of Saskatoon.

Agriculture technology continues to be a highlight of the show and dozens of companies celebrated innovation last night at the Innovation in Agriculture Reception, hosted byAg in Motion and Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada, and presented by S3 Group and Saskatchewan Polytechnic. At the reception, winners were selected in five categories of the Ag in Motion Innovations Program, presented by TD Agriculture Services:

  • Agronomics: CropScanAg for On Combine Grain Analyzer
  • Business Solutions: Ultimate Yield/The Rack for HedgeHog
  • Environmental Sustainability: LEMKEN Canada Inc. for Equalizer Air Tine Drill
  • Equipment: Advance Tank Production Ltd. for Bio-Gas Manure Tank Trailer
  • Livestock: TestiGrip for TestiGrip®

“We had the highest number of entrants in our Innovations Program this year, with thirty-seven total,” O’Connor says. “It’s truly inspiring to see how many companies are introducing new options for farmers to meet the challenges of the future. We encourage farmers from across the Prairies to attend Ag in Motion to see what’s new this year.”

O’Connor says that Ag in Motion is also making waves in international circles, with reports of over 230 guests coming from Australia, Africa, Europe, Mexico and the United States to take in the best of Canadian agriculture at this iconic western Canadian farm show.
