Saskatoon, SK., June 11, 2020 – Awards for innovation, guidance through online clinics and virtual Ride & Drives are among the new ways Ag in Motion Discovery Plus digital event organizers are helping farmers make decisions and stay informed this summer.

“As farmers find new technologies to grow the crops used to help feed the world, innovation in agriculture is essential to the future of our industry,” says Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “In addition to that, there are concerns that come up during the year, and farmers need a good source of timely information on farm equipment and new technology to help them in-season.”

Ag in Motion Discovery Plus is a new digital event that will deliver interactive agriculture content from the field, giving Western Canadian farmers access to the latest in farm products, important crop and livestock information, equipment comparisons, field research and more.

For the Ag in Motion Discovery Plus Innovations Program, exhibiting companies will be recognized for pioneering technologies that have the potential to positively impact and advance the agriculture industry in the following categories: Plant and Soil Science, Animal and Livestock, Agriculture Equipment and Agribusiness Services

The Innovations Program is open to all Ag in Motion Discovery Plus exhibitors and the submission deadline for applicants is Thursday, June 25. Finalists and winners will be announced at the Ag in Motion Discovery Plus event on July 21. Applicants can contact [email protected] for more information.

Beyond the Innovations Program, virtual demonstrations and presentations aimed at helping farmers with their equipment needs this season will also be part of the Ag in Motion Discovery Plus event. These sessions will provide a practical and detailed look into farm equipment, including:

  • The Combine Clinic: Join two experts Russ Wildfong, Founder of Wildfong Enterprises; Trevor Thiessen, President of Redekop Manufacturing; and Trevor Scherman, a farmer and the innovator behind ScherGain as they share key information on preparing your equipment for harvest and address the common equipment issues that can occur during harvest.
  • UTV Ride & Drive, sponsored by BKT Tires: Join an engaging host and get off-road for a behind-the-wheel look at UTVs. Several different machines will be featured including Kubota and Can-Am BRP.

Ag in Motion Discovery Plus takes place July 21 – 25, 2020 as a free online event for farmers to get a unique vantage point on current agricultural information. Pre-registration for Ag in Motion Discovery Plus is available at aginmotion.ca with early registrants getting 40% off a one- or two-year subscription to The Western Producer.
