SASKATOON, SK., February 25, 2020 – Exhibitors at Ag in Motion 2020 will have access to a preferred supplier for small-plot services thanks to an agreement between Glacier FarmMedia LP (GFM) and Down to Earth Ag Research (DTE).
Under the agreement, Saskatoon-based DTE will be available to provide a range of services to exhibitors, from spring site preparation and herbicide application to seeding and watering. For GFM, owner of Ag in Motion, the partnership is part of an ongoing effort to improve the experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.
“Down to Earth Ag Research is well known and well respected for their ability to establish and maintain high-quality plots,” says Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “We are always looking for opportunities to better meet the needs of our exhibitors and having DTE professionals available to assist with their on-site plots is one more way we can help everyone have a great show.”
In addition to providing plot services to Ag in Motion exhibitors, DTE will manage small- and large-scale commercial and research-related plots at Glacier FarmMedia Discovery Farm, the innovative all-season agricultural event and demonstration site that is home to Ag in Motion and Field of Excellence. The 640-acre Discovery Farm at Langham, SK is designed to connect Western Canadian farmers with industry and research partners in the quest for practical solutions to the agriculture challenges of today, and tomorrow.
For Dean Streisel, CEO and Founder of Down to Earth, the agreement with GFM is recognition of how far the company as developed since it was established five years ago.
