Langham, Sask., July 20, 2022 – With a return to the fields for the first time since 2019, Ag in Motion™ welcomed 9,308 attendees through the gates Tuesday, July 19 and featured 543 exhibitors.
“It is evident to see that our exhibitors elevated their offerings this year by having more experience-based demos and a more hands-on approach,” says Ag in Motion Show Director Rob O’Connor. “The excitement of being back in person has built significantly over the last year as the show drew near.”
O’Connor notes that after two years of the pandemic, exhibitors, sponsors and industry want ways to be in touch with customers face-to-face. With so many visitors through the gates on the first day of Ag in Motion, it’s been great to see the significant effort participating companies have put into being back in person.
Daily features at Ag in Motion include:
- Live equipment demonstrations in the field featuring air seeders and tillage equipment.
- Ride & Drives for farmers to test drive sprayers and experience the machines first-hand.
- Twice-daily drone demos featuring the latest advances in innovative technology and data capture capabilities.
- Crop plots from 32 companies featuring seed varieties, fertilizers, and plant health and crop protection products.
- Livestock booths and live demonstrations from over 60 companies in BMO Livestock Central.
Field of STARS, presented by Nutrien, also treated attendees at the July 19 evening fundraiser to a country-themed event featuring industry networking, dinner, dancing, fundraising auctions and special concert performances in support of STARS Air Ambulance.
For Wednesday, July 20, the equipment demonstrations, Ride & Drives, crop plots and livestock programs continue, with the addition of these special events:
- AgTech Breakfast connects startups and farmers to discuss the latest innovation happening in agriculture and collaborate on solutions for the industry.
- Cultivating Connections Happy Hour hosted by Saskatchewan Young Ag-Entrepreneurs and sponsored by FCC, gives young ag entrepreneurs the opportunity to socialize, network and discuss relevant topics.
“People attend Ag in Motion to see new technology unveiled, climb up on big equipment and get a hands-on sense of what options would work best on their farm, and that’s what Ag in Motion is all about,” says O’Connor. “We’re all so happy to be back, and the entire Ag in Motion team would like to thank the farmers, companies, partners and other members of the agricultural industry who have joined us again this year in person.”
Ag in Motion is Western Canada’s largest outdoor farm expo with over 100 acres to explore from July 19-21, 2022. The farm show is located at Discovery Farm Langham, just 15 minutes northwest of Saskatoon, Sask. More information and tickets can be found at aginmotion.ca.
