Saskatoon, SK., January 11, 2022 – After nearly two years of digital events and interactive online content, Ag in Motion is headed back to the fields of the Discovery Farm Langham site for an in-person event in 2022.
“On the ground and in-person is where this show really comes to life,” said Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “We are hearing from our farmer and industry networks that they want a personal experience with live demonstrations, hands-on access to products and equipment, and meaningful face-to-face connections.”
O’Connor notes that in spite of recent COVID-19 developments, there is a lot of optimism for a return to a full event, given that Ag in Motion is held outdoors. On July 19-21, 2022, Ag in Motion plans to deliver a ‘see, touch, connect’ experience where farmers can talk one-on-one with their neighbours and industry contacts while seeing innovative technology and products up-close.
As Western Canada’s only outdoor farm expo, many fan-favourite event features will be back in 2022 including equipment field demonstrations, crop plot tours, speakers and seminars, livestock displays and special live events.
Since the last in-person event in 2019, and as the COVID-19 pandemic progressed, Ag in Motion adapted with two years of virtual events.
“We’re proud that Ag in Motion was able to provide farmers access to important information for their farm operations during the two years of the pandemic,” says O’Connor. “However, being back in-person will bring that familiar feel of community and hands-on experience that we’ve all been waiting for.”
O’Connor says that planning for July is well underway with many exhibitors and sponsors already on board. Exhibit space is in high demand with 2019 participants being given first chance to renew. O’Connor encourages new exhibitors and sponsors to reach out to organizers soon through the Ag in Motion website.
Ag in Motion organizers will be closely monitoring current COVID-19 information and planning with the advice of local and provincial governments and health experts. The event will follow the Saskatchewan Health Authority and/or Saskatchewan Provincial Government regulations at the time of the event.
Ag in Motion is Western Canada’s only outdoor farm expo located at Discovery Farm Langham, just 15 minutes northwest of Saskatoon, SK. For more information on Ag in Motion, please visit aginmotion.ca.
