Ag in Motion ‘Worth the Wait’ for Back In-Person Event in 2022

by | Jul 22, 2022 | News

Langham, Sask., July 22, 2022 It was worth the long wait for farmers and guests who visited the farm show from
July 19-21. For the first time since 2019, Ag in Motion welcomed 29,954 guests through the gates over three days to take in learning and networking right in the fields.

“Over the last two years, we had a vision of how Ag in Motion would come back to life following a hiatus of in-person interactions,” says Show Director Rob O’Connor. “This week we saw our vision become reality. It was an outstanding success and we are grateful to all who came together to make it happen.”

As Western Canada’s largest outdoor farm expo, Ag in Motion brought an assortment of opportunities to explore the latest in farming products and technology, equipment demonstrations in the field, presentations from industry experts and a wide range of livestock related showcases.

The show garnered international attention from attendees travelling from as far as Germany and Australia, and also welcomed Ambassador of Kazakhstan H.E.Akylbek Kamaldinov for a tour of the show grounds. Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Marie-Claude Bibeau toured the site on Wednesday, along with provincial ministers of agriculture including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, to learn the latest on innovative technology that is shaping the future of farming.

“The return of the agriculture community back to the Ag in Motion site was very exciting to see. We take great pride in being able to facilitate opportunities for face-to-face connections once again and learning in a hands-on manner,” says O’Connor. “It was well worth the wait.”

Ag in Motion featured special events at this year’s show including:

  • AgTech Breakfast connecting AgTech startups and farmers.
  • Cultivating Connections Happy Hour hosted by Saskatchewan Young Ag-Entrepreneurs and sponsored by FCC.
