Farmers want live demonstrations and access to what’s new

Langham, Sask., May 25, 2023 – Ag in Motion returns on July 18-20, 2023 with live in-field demonstrations and a showcase of what’s new in agriculture, an offering that farmers want according to an Ag in Motion survey after last year’s event.

In a survey of 2022 Ag in Motion attendees, the biggest draw for them was the live demonstrations with “real equipment doing real things” and being able to see what is new in agriculture. The survey took place in September 2022 with respondents who either work on a farm or are an owner or partner in a farming operation.

Ag in Motion is Western Canada’s largest outdoor annual farm show with over 100 acres of trade show exhibits. Companies share products and new technology at the three-day farm show to give farmers the unique opportunity to get behind the wheels of the latest equipment, watch machinery operating in the field, and speak with representatives about new options for their farms.

“Ag in Motion has long been known as a must-see event that helps farmers make key business decisions about what’s needed for their operation,” says Rob O’Connor, Show Director for Ag in Motion. “The show is held outdoors, so there is room to stage very large equipment onsite and other products like drone technology that would be difficult to show off in an indoor environment. Decisions are made in the dirt.”

Located on the 610-acre Discovery Farm Langham site, the three-day Ag in Motion show features over 550 exhibiting companies, plus equipment Ride & Drives, demonstrations in the field, product showcases with live animals and special features like drone technology and autonomous vehicles. In 2022, close to 30,000 people attended Ag in Motion over three days.

Ag in Motion has been highlighting innovative equipment, products and technology from leading agriculture companies since 2015. The 2023 show highlights include:

  • Equipment Demonstrations: large-scale machinery in the field from dozens of companies including air seeders and high-speed tillage equipment, plus demonstrations of drone technology
  • Exhibitor Demonstrations: featuring the latest advancements from new and returning exhibitors
  • Ride & Drives: farmers test-drive the leading-edge sprayers and skid steers at the show
  • Crop Plot Displays: a showcase of 30 companies sharing seed, fertilizers, plant health, and crop protection products for many common western Canadian crops
  • BMO Livestock Central: the latest industry-specific information for beef, dairy, goat and sheep producers, with a new Cattle Dog Competition this year
  • Special Events: networking and learning through the AgTech Breakfast, Innovations Program, and more

Tickets are now available for purchase online at aginmotion.ca, along with more details on the event. Ag in Motion is held on July 18-20, 2023 at Discovery Farm Langham, just 15 minutes northwest of Saskatoon, Sask.
