Selecting the right fertilizer spreader involves matching the particular needs of an individual producer with the features offered on various makes and models, and one of the best ways to do that is to see the machinery in action.
The Fertilizer Spreader Demonstration at Ag in Motion gives producers a chance to learn about the latest technology and innovation, and to do side-by-side comparisons of one brand against another.
“Producers in Western Canada face very different farming conditions depending on where they live and that means they also have different needs when it comes to fertilizer spreaders,” says Dan Kuchma, Ag in Motion Sales Manager. “Ag in Motion is the one place farmers can view the pros and cons of spreader performance in a real-world setting.”
Both self-propelled and pull-behind fertilizer spreaders produced by a number of different manufacturers will take part in the daily demonstrations. As the machinery moves through the demo field, there will be accompanying commentary describing its particular features and advantages.
“These events are designed to help farmers make the most educated buying decision they can,” Kuchma says. “It’s also a chance to validate the manufacturers’ claims about their products—they have to prove it in the field, not just say it in the showroom.”
