GREETINGS FROM OUR SHOW DIRECTOR

Jul 6, 2017 | Uncategorized

Welcome to the third annual Ag in Motion, Western Canada’s largest outdoor agriculture trade show featuring demonstrations of farm equipment, crops, crop inputs and livestock in a real agricultural setting. Once again, Ag in Motion has grown to accommodate new exhibitors bringing farmers the latest technology, and even the global product launch of Dot Technology Corp’s Autonomous Power Platform.

This year the show features the first outdoor, live Combine Demo that has ever been done in Western Canada. See the benefits of five machines and determine which one is the best for your operation as they run side-by-side to harvest a strip of fall rye. Next, manufacturers will line up their most ideal piece of tillage equipment to prepare a seedbed in the One Pass Seedbed Preparation Demo. And you can compare several high clearance sprayers by participating in the ride and drive program.

These demos, plus many more happening throughout the site, combined with crop plots that grow at the site year round and make up over 150 acres.

Livestock Central, presented by BMO, has grown again to include a number of new demos, exhibit specific theme days such as “Dairy Day” and the addition of “Beef Day,” a day dedicated to Western Canada’s beef producers. The Agri-Trend Knowledge Tent, sponsored by RBC, returns this year as another means for farmers to gain knowledge and expertise in topics like succession planning and finance.

The Ag in Motion show site has grown in size again! We recognize the time it takes to walk the show so we have doubled the size of our on-site transportation fleet. Jump on the Meridian People Movers to help you navigate the show and save you some steps.

I would like to thank the many stakeholders that have contributed to the success and growth of this show. Ag in Motion would not exist without the farmers who attend or the exhibitors and sponsors who choose this show as the best platform to reach farmers. Without staff and volunteers the grounds would not look nearly as good or would run as smoothly. Have a great trip to Ag in Motion this year!

Sincerely,
