Agronomics
ATP Nutrition Ltd. for Synergro G3
Synergro G3 closes the gap between biological performance and on-farm practicality. A shelf-stable, granular biostimulant that brings biological science to the fertilizer blend. As biologicals move into the mainstream, Synergro G3 sets the standard for how agronomic innovation should perform both in the lab and in the field.
AgTech
PhiBer Manufacturing Inc. for Drone Carrier
An alternative to traditional ground spraying or crop dusting with spray planes the PhiBer Drone Carrier allows for re-fueling and loading platform to service up to 4 drones simultaneously.
Business Solutions
Agi3 Risk Services for ForwardProtect, AgriEnhace, FarmElevate
AgriEnhance, uses proprietary actuarial modelling and software to price crop yield risk in Western Canada. ForwardProtect allows growers to offload the risk of forward contracting. The product is insurance wrapped around a forward contract on new crop canola and spring wheat. If the grower does not have enough crop to cover the contract, they are protected against the price movement on their grain contract. FarmElevate is property and casualty insurance product targetting progressive growers that have particular needs for coverage.
Environmental Sustainability
Green Lightning & Nytro for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine
Green Lightning has invented and improved upon its standard 6 head machine. The Gen 3 model now produces 100 gallons per day of product to be applied at an equivalent ratio of 3 lbs of N per gallon of water. Using simply air, water and electricity, Green Lightning has made it possible for farmers to produce a salt free nitrate fertilizer on their own farms.
Equipment
Thunderstruck Ag Equipment for Razors Edge Concaves
The Razor’s Edge Concaves represent a significant step forward in harvesting technology. Traditional concave systems are either crop-specific, requiring frequent equipment changes, or rely on cover plates or inserts that disrupt material flow and reduce efficiency. Razors Edge Concaves are designed by optimizing threshing from front to back, then gradually widening to enhance material flow and prevent overload. This allows one set of concaves to handle multiple crops without the need for cover plates or mid-season adjustments.
How it works
Who can be nominated?
Approved exhibitors at Ag in Motion can apply for the Ag in Motion 2025 Innovations Program presented by Conexus Credit Union to showcase an innovative solution for Canadian farmers and be in the running for a Farmers’ Choice Award. Applications will open for 2026 in the new year. The Selection Committee reviews the applications and selects the finalists (one or more in a category, depending on the number of entries).
How are the winners selected?
A selection committee determines the best entry in each category based on eligibility, relevance and quality of the application. The winner in each category will be chosen live on Monday, July 14, during the evening Innovations in Agriculture Reception hosted by Ag in Motion and Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada, and sponsored by S3 Group Ltd and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
How does the Farmers' Choice Award work?
Once the winners are selected, each company is put forward for the Farmers’ Choice Award, sponsored by SaskTel. Votes are collected through the Ag in Motion website the week following Ag in Motion and the final Farmers’ Choice Award winner is announced on Ag in Motion’s social media platforms and website.
