AGRONOMICS

Taurus Agricultural Marketing Inc

CG P2X

Explain why this is an innovation:

CG P2X is not just a fertilizer; it represents a re-engineering of how phosphorus is delivered to crops. Traditional phosphorus sources like MAP or DAP are prone to tie-up in the soil and early-season loss. CG P2X is root-activated, soluble by organic acids, and proven to be twice as efficient at delivering phosphorus when and where the crop needs it. This allows growers to apply half the rate while achieving equal or better results.

What makes it truly innovative is its ability to remain plant-available without leaching or fixation, while also improving soil biology. CG P2X is more than a fertilizer. It is a modern phosphate delivery system built for high-efficiency agriculture.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

CG P2X was developed to address a core inefficiency in global agriculture. Up to 80 percent of phosphorus applied with traditional fertilizers becomes locked in the soil and unavailable to the crop. CG P2X solves this problem by delivering phosphorus more efficiently through a patented mineral matrix that dissolves only in the presence of organic acids exuded by plant roots.

This design allows phosphorus to be released at the exact time and place the crop needs it most. The purpose is to help growers reduce application rates, limit environmental loss, and increase the return on their fertility investment without sacrificing yield.

Describe target market(s):

Every Grower In Canada

List main direct or indirect competitor(s):

CG P2X competes with traditional and enhanced-efficiency phosphorus fertilizers including MAP, DAP, MicroEssentials, manure or compost-based phosphorus amendments, and chelated or coated phosphorus products marketed as efficiency boosters. Unlike these options, CG P2X does not rely on coatings or environmental conditions to work. It responds directly to the crop’s biological signals, making it a more predictable, efficient, and sustainable source of phosphorus.

Northern Nutrients

Arctic S 11-0-0-75S

Explain why this is an innovation:

Our product represents a true advancement in agricultural fertilizer technology. It is a locally manufactured, high-analysis sulphur fertilizer designed specifically for a single growing season. What sets it apart is its micronized sulphur formulation, which allows for rapid breakdown and crop availability—even in conditions with limited moisture or microbial activity. This efficiency means farmers get the benefits of timely sulphur uptake without relying on ideal soil conditions. By delivering sulphur exactly when the crop needs it, the product enables more precise nutrient management and more accurate soil testing for future applications. Unlike traditional long-term sulphur sources, which can linger and complicate fertility planning, our product supports immediate nutrient delivery, improved yields, and smarter, season-specific crop nutrition strategies—all while being made right here at home.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The purpose of this product is to provide farmers with a more effective, versatile, and economical source of elemental sulphur. Its high bulk density allows it to be handled through drills, augers, and other equipment multiple times without breaking down—making it easy to work with on the farm. With an exceptionally low salt index of just 17, it’s safe for direct seed row application, even at higher rates, without risking seed burn. Additionally, unlike traditional elemental sulphur products, this formulation incorporates a urea component, meaning it will never cause combustion or fire during storage or handling—a critical safety advantage. This flexibility and safety make it suitable for virtually any application method. By delivering a concentrated source of sulphur in a stable, easy-to-handle form, the product reduces the volume farmers need to apply, minimizes handling time, and ensures they get more value per acre. Ultimately, it helps farmers efficiently use elemental sulphur, optimize their macro nutrient strategy, and maximize return on investment.

Synergro G3

Explain why this is an innovation:

Synergro G3: Innovation Backed by Science, Built for the Real World –

Synergro G3 closes the gap between biological performance and on-farm practicality. It’s not just an input—it’s a new category: a shelf-stable, granular biostimulant that brings biological science to the fertilizer blend. As biologicals move into the mainstream, Synergro G3 sets the standard for how agronomic innovation should perform—both in the lab and in the field.

Overview –

As the first granular biostimulant derived from a consortium of biological metabolites, Synergro G3 delivers a breakthrough in how growers integrate biologicals with traditional fertility programs.

Innovation at Its Core –

Developed with proprietary Synergro M2 Technology, Synergro G3 harnesses the power of microbial metabolites—small molecules produced during microbial activity that stimulate plant growth and root development. These metabolites are stabilized and granulated to create a free-flowing, dust-limited product, designed specifically to be blended, stored, and applied with granular fertilizers.

Unlike conventional biologicals that struggle with shelf life or compatibility, Synergro G3 is agronomically flexible and mechanically reliable. It eliminates the logistical barriers associated with liquids or live organisms, unlocking biological benefits without compromising operational efficiency.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

Key Features & Agronomic Advantages –

• Premium Formulation – First granular biostimulant from biological metabolites (Synergro M2 Technology). Contains CaSO₄ (gypsum) for added calcium and sulphur, and humic acid to aid nutrient mobility and soil health.

– Improves Nutrient Use Efficiency (N, K, Fe, Zn, Mo and Si) by upregulation of nutrient uptake genes

– Alleviates abiotic stress by suppression of stress-related genes

– Increases beneficial microbes in the rhizosphere

• Increase in Root Mass – Enhanced early root development facilitates greater nutrient and water uptake.

• Improved Plant Vigor – Stimulates early-season growth for a faster, more uniform stand establishment.

• Drives Yield – Replicated field trials consistently show 2–4 bu/ac increases with Synergro G3 vs. untreated check.

• Ease of Use – Compatible with granular fertilizer blends, flowing cleanly through equipment.

• Low Use Rate – Just 10 lbs/ac, seed-placed or side-banded near the seed row.

Scientific Validation: Turning Biological Theory into Measurable Impact –

Biostimulants were once seen as unpredictable. Today, Synergro G3 is backed by hard data—at both the genetic, biological and field level.

Farmer-Backed Results –

In 40 field trials across Western Canada, Synergro G3 has shown measurable increases in yield of 2 to 4 bu/acre, improved plant vigor, and ROI. Feedback from early adopters consistently highlights its ease of handling, fitting into their operation and visible crop response.

Independent Scientific Validation: RNA-Seq Data by Texas A&M –

Using RNA sequencing analysis conducted by Texas A&M, Synergro G3, has been shown to significantly influence gene expression in corn crops—impacting over 20,000 genes in both root and shoot tissues. The data revealed:

• Upregulation of nutrient uptake genes (N, K, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mo, Si), boosting nutrient use efficiency (NUE).

• Stimulation of phytohormone production (auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins), accelerating early season growth and cell wall development.

• Suppression of stress-related genes (ethylene, ABA), reducing oxidative stress and promoting healthier plant metabolism.

• Enhanced photosynthesis potential, contributing to overall plant vigor and yield.

The heatmap and principal component analysis (PCA) confirm strong, distinct gene expression responses to Synergro G3, especially in tissue-specific patterns. The effect on roots and leaves shows a clear physiological shift from the control groups.

Improving Soil Health: Third-Party Validation with BiomeMakers –

In a third-party study using genomic soil testing, BiomeMakers confirmed that Synergro G3 significantly enhances soil biological functions. The data revealed an increase in beneficial microbial populations involved in:

• Producing plant growth hormones (auxins, cytokinins) that stimulate root and shoot development

• Supporting stress tolerance, helping crops withstand environmental pressures

• Acting as biocontrol agents against pathogens, improving plant resilience

• Enhancing nutrient cycling, including nitrogen fixation and phosphorus mobilization

The study tracked microbial shifts over time and showed a clear improvement in rhizosphere activity and functional diversity, demonstrating that Synergro G3 not only supports the crop but also revitalizes the soil—laying the foundation for long-term productivity.

Together, farmer field trials, BiomeMakers soil microbiome analysis, and Texas A&M’s RNA sequencing data provide a complete, science-backed picture of how Synergro G3 drives plant performance—from the soil, to the roots, to the yield.

OPIsystems, Inc.

OMNI Cable (3 in 1 Grain Monitoring Cable)

Explain why this is an innovation:

The OMNI cable is a patent pending 3-in-1 grain monitoring cable (temperature, relative humidity, and inventory). Temperature and moisture cables have been around for several decades; however, this cable is different as it also provides the inventory level inside of the bin. It allows for near instant inventory level reading in grain storage operations removing the need for an additional purchase of a LIDAR or RADAR inventory sensing systems. In addition, the OMNI cable will be the only solution that will be able to detect voids in grain, it enhances accuracy, safety, and even contributes towards theft deterrence. With near-instant or hourly updates depending on install configuration, it delivers smarter storage management across all markets. Finally, with the ability for the OMNI cable to be read by our hand-held solution (BLUE Lite), OPI will provide the only handheld across the world capable of taking inventory readings. There are no grain monitoring cables that exist with this capability. The OMNI cable is a game changer!

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

Accurately gauging inventory levels inside grain bins is a persistent challenge in the agricultural industry. Traditional methods, which often involve manual inspections, are time-consuming and risky. These risks are compounded by the difficulty of obtaining precise and timely inventory data, leading to inefficiencies in grain management and storage operations. The lack of instant inventory information can result in overfilling or underutilization of storage space, causing economic losses and potentially compromising the quality of the stored grain. Additionally, it causes truckers in commercial grain facilities to wait before emptying their trucks, further disrupting operations. Furthermore, inaccurate inventory levels hinder effective planning and logistics, impacting the entire supply chain from storage to market delivery. This inefficiency can lead to delays, increased costs, and reduced competitiveness in the market.

The instant grain level detection capability in our OMNI cable stands out as a more cost-effective and reliable option than any other in the market. It requires no calibration, has zero maintenance needs, and contains no moving parts, ensuring long-term durability and consistent performance. This simplicity and reliability make it an attractive solution for operators looking to improve efficiency without incurring high ongoing costs.

Detecting voids in grain bins is essential for safety, grain quality, operational efficiency, and economic value. Voids can create dangerous air pockets or false crusts that may collapse, posing serious risks of entrapment or suffocation. They can also cause uneven stress on bin walls, increasing the risk of structural failure. From a grain quality perspective, voids disrupt airflow, leading to poor conditioning and creating pockets where heat and moisture accumulate, which can result in mold, insect infestations, or spoilage. Operationally, voids make it difficult to accurately measure inventory and interfere with proper aeration, affecting the ability to preserve and condition grain effectively. Economically, failing to detect and correct voids can result in the loss of valuable grain and reduce the quality to a point where it no longer meets grading standards, lowering its market value. The OMNI cable will be the first in class solution for void detection, helping farmers manage their grain safely and protect their investment.

In sum, the OMNI 3-in-1 cable is designed to help farmers and grain operators monitor bin conditions with ease and accuracy, prevents overfilling, reduces spoilage risk, and eliminates the need to climb bins, improving safety.

Agi3 Risk Services

ForwardProtect, AgriEnhace, FarmElevate

Explain why this is an innovation:

Agi3 is here to revolutionize how agriculture risk management is done in Canada. Our products are innovative because insurance has been a very traditional business in farming for a long time. It has been slow to adapt to change and the enablement that technology can deliver. Heavy government support makes it a tough market for private industry to break into. Agi3 has innovation because only with the right combination of technology, delivery, distribution, and risk management backing (reinsurers and partners) can this business happen. Our product is highly customizable, individualized and purpose built for our target customers. We have many patents on the technology used both on the modelling and in the platform delivery.

Our first product, AgriEnhance, uses proprietary actuarial modelling and software to price crop yield risk in Western Canada. It is delivered through an innovative online platform made available to farmers down to the LLD level and to brokers to support farmer decision making. Pricing is in real time and policy purchase can happen within days.

One of our new products for 2025 is ForwardProtect. ForwardProtect allows growers to offload the risk of forward contracting. It also uses proprietary modelling techniques and software. The product is insurance wrapped around a forward contract on new crop canola and spring wheat. If the grower does not have enough crop to cover the contract, they are protected against the price movement of the FUTURES on their grain contract. Pricing is delivered to growers in real time. Finally, we have also rolled out FarmElevate in 2025.

FarmElevate is property and casualty insurance product targetting progressive growers that have particular needs for coverage. We are hearing that there is a lack of coverage options available to growers that keeps pace with their high output operations. FarmElevate is here to do that.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

Risk management in Western Canadian agriculture is becoming more of a priority for growers. Current options available on the market do not work very well for the largest growing segment of growers – large progressive growers. The purpose of our products is to better serve these growers so that their risk management needs are better met fostering an environment where Canadian growers are very competitive on the global market. In addition, our products enable farmers to “manage up” thereby allowing them to be more productive, more sustainable per unit of resources used, and operating under a lower stress environment which is beneficial for mental health.

The purpose of ForwardProtect is to encourage more forward contracting of grain in the spring and early summer which has value for the whole value chain. It helps growers capture the best prices of the year, it allows growers to move the grain sooner and put the money in the bank instead of paying interests. It allows grain companies to better market their products on the international market and plan their logistics better. It makes the whole grain value chain more efficient and more profitable for Canadians.

Describe target market(s):

Progressive growers in Western Canada. Typically 5000+ acres and using fairly new technology. Primarily grain growers but they could have livestock too. Broad acre grains, we are not focused on specialty crops (yet). Manage the farm like a business.

 Phosul

Explain why this is an innovation:

Phosul represents a significant advancement in sustainable agriculture by efficiently providing plant-available phosphate through moisture-activated microbial activity. Its innovative formulation uniquely integrates Elemental Sulphur, Rock Phosphate, and Amorphous Silica into a homogeneous blend. Microbial oxidation converts Elemental Sulphur into sulfuric acid, which then effectively dissolves Rock Phosphate, releasing phosphate. The incorporation of Amorphous Silica strategically captures the calcium liberated during this reaction, substantially enhancing phosphate availability to plants (>90%) compared to traditional rock phosphate applications. Importantly, Phosul’s water-insoluble design eliminates risks associated with nutrient runoff and leaching from wind or water erosion, protecting local ecosystems from nutrient enhanced algal blooms. Additionally, its production process reduces the carbon footprint by 80% per pound of plant-available phosphate compared to conventional ammonium phosphates and eliminates the risk of PFAS contamination posed by struvite-based alternatives—aligning directly with modern sustainability goals.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The primary purpose of Phosul is to provide farmers and agricultural producers with an effective and environmentally responsible phosphate fertilizer solution. By enhancing nutrient use efficiency and minimizing environmental impacts, Phosul supports healthier crop growth and improved soil health. EQUIPMENT

AGCO Corp.

FENDT Momentum Planter
Explain why this is an innovation:

Farmers need to get more return from the land for every dollar, gallon and hour they invest. One of the best ways to get that return on investment is to ensure that every plant has the greatest opportunity to give its most optimal yield. We have to shift from thinking in fields and acres to thinking in terms of inches and how to control the growing environment like never before. In order to meet the yield demands of the future, farmers need to control the elements of the planter that affect plant growth. This means being precise in forming the trench, singulating seed, hitting the right depth and closing the trench—across soil type, terrain and time. Every season, too many farms are leaving ground unplanted, incorrectly spacing seeds and planting them at improper depths, and spending more time working around their planter’s shortcomings than planting. Farmers want and need a planter that works with their realities rather than the other way around. Effectively planting just 2% more ground, improving the growth of 2% of your population and saving 2 hours of each planting day could make a major difference to your bottom line. What if we could give you a planter that can successfully plant seeds over contours, terraces and difficult soil conditions by adjusting automatically? What if we could give you a planting system that regularly singulates at 99.5% effectiveness? What if you could adjust and set your depth with ease and confidence? What will an extra hour or an extra day add to your bottom line?

LEMKEN
Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart

Explain why this is an innovation:

The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart is the only Tow Behind or Tow Between Air Cart available in Canada that allows any configuration of seed plus liquid and/or dry fertilizer. It also is the only Air Cart in Canada that can deliver dry fertilizer into the seed run and/or the fertilizer run simultaneously as desired. It can be used with any brand of seeder, however, when it is used with the Vertically Banding Equalizer Air Tine Drill, farmers have 6 unique dry and/or liquid tanks for inputs plus an optional small-seed tank. And, any or all of the tanks can be changed from dry to liquid or vice versa in the future. All inputs can be applied with variable rate and section control. That flexibility opens the agronomic options to farmers like never before.

The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart is the result of a complete redesign of the Equalizer Air Cart to meet Western Canadian conditions. LEMKEN will sell a limited number of Air Carts in North America for the 2026 seeding season with the Vertically Banding Equalizer 40’, 60’ or 80’ Air Tine Drills. The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart can replace any brand of Air Cart.

The first two Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Carts arrived in North America in early 2025. The first unit has one dry and two liquid tanks and a small-seed tank. The 23,800 litre capacity air cart and 60’ Air Tine Drill, with three onboard tanks, seeded approximately 5000 acres this spring. The second Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart with three dry tanks (22,000 litre total capacity) will make its debut at Ag In Motion.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

SEED PLUS DRY AND/OR LIQUID FERTILIZER
The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart gives Western Canadian farmers an Air Cart that arrives from the factory ready to handle seed with liquid and/or dry fertilizer in any configuration. Farmers can reconfigure the Air Cart from dry to liquid or vice versa in the future in under 8 man hours per tank.

DRY FERTILIZER GOES TO THE SEED RUN, FERTILIZER RUN, OR BOTH WITH VARIABLE RATE METERING.
Each air cart can have up to three tanks for dry fertilizer and each of those tanks can feed the seed run only, the fertilizer run only, or both at a ratio set by the operator. This unique feature ads storage efficiency because one tank can feed both runs simultaneously. Without the Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart, farmers must either put both seed and fertilizer in one tank (risking seed damage and uneven delivery) or use two tanks for the same fertilizer (one for seed run and the other tank for fertilizer run delivery) even when one fertilizer is used for both.

INFINITE AGRONOMY

Removing the mechanical restrictions of fertilizer choice and distribution is a game changing innovation that ensures that a high-value, critical piece of equipment can now be matched to almost any crop and input choices. The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart also provides agronomic flexibility because the tanks can be reconfigured if input or crop choices change in the future.

Describe target market(s):

Western Canadian grain producers

List main direct or indirect competitor(s):

The Equalizer Infinite Agronomy Air Cart is the only Air Cart available in Canada built with up to three liquid and/or dry tanks. A few competitors offer only ONE optional liquid tank on their cart eg. middle tank (John Deere, Horsch) or rear tank (SeedMaster). Likewise. we could not find any commercially available air carts in Canada that allow each tank to distribute dry product into the seed run and/or the fertilizer run simultaneously.

Wavcor International Inc.

Manhole Aeration

Explain why this is an innovation:

There isn’t a product on the market that allows aeration to be easily added to grain bins. Most aeration systems are installed when the bin is built. Retrofitting aeration in a bin is expensive and time consuming. With Wavcor’s Manhole Aeration product, in just a few minutes farmers can add aeration to their bins, which significantly improves airflow and therefore grain quality. This solution also offers the only way to add aeration to smooth wall bins, therefore allowing farmers to use their fertilizer bins for aerated grain storage in the fall.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

Wavcor’s Manhole Aeration system allows farmers to easily install aeration on almost any hopper bottom bin in a matter of minutes. The perforated cylinder is not only quick to set up, but is very cost effective. The cylinder is compatible with either Wavcor’s Airblast fan or it can be used with most other brands of fans on the market. When paired with a 20 horsepower fan, it can deliver airflows of up to 3000 cfm. It can be easily removed after installation to allow for bin access when needed.

Describe target market(s):

Manhole Aeration would be a benefit to any farmer who has a hopper bottom bin that doesn’t have aeration, so there are use cases on almost all farms. Farmers are aerating grain more often, so there is a clear need for a retrofit aeration product throughout North America and beyond.

Geringhoff

Integrated Air System

Explain why this is an innovation:

The Geringhoff Integrated Air System (IAS) is the first fully integrated air system designed specifically for draper headers. Unlike conventional bolt-on systems that mount above the header and can interfere with crop flow, the IAS is seamlessly built into the header itself. This design allows for more effective and consistent air delivery directly behind the cutter bar, helping to minimize seed loss, particularly in crops such as canola and lentils. By guiding seeds onto the draper belt instead of allowing them to roll down and off the canvas, the IAS offers a practical, innovative solution; one that no other manufacturer currently provides in this form.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The purpose of the Integrated Air System is to reduce crop losses at the header by gently guiding seeds onto the draper belt instead of letting them fall to the ground. By blowing air directly behind the cutter bar, the IAS improves crop flow and minimizes loss, especially in light or lodged crops. This leads to increased operational efficiency and higher yields. Its integrated design eliminates the downsides of external systems, making it a more effective solution for producers worldwide.

Describe target market(s):

Western Canadian farmers, especially those growing canola, lentils, soybeans and other straight-cut crops or any operation that experiences lodging, where crop flow and seed retention are problematic during harvest.

Thunderstruck Ag Equipment

Razors Edge Concaves

Explain why this is an innovation:

The Razor’s Edge Concaves represent a significant step forward in harvesting technology. Traditional concave systems are either crop-specific, requiring frequent equipment changes, or rely on cover plates or inserts that disrupt material flow and reduce efficiency. Our patented variable spacing design changes this by optimizing threshing from front to back—tight at the crop impact point to improve separation, then gradually widening to enhance material flow and prevent overload. This allows one set of concaves to handle multiple crops without the need for cover plates or mid-season adjustments.

The addition of a notched bar profile creates a grain-on-grain threshing effect, minimizing crop damage while boosting grain quality. A laser-clad edge sharpens as it wears, extending product life and maintaining threshing precision over time. These features work together to deliver a concave system that improves yield, reduces downtime, and streamlines harvest across crops and conditions—offering farmers a truly versatile and high-performance solution.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The Razor’s Edge Concaves are designed to improve harvesting efficiency, grain quality, and ease of operation for farmers using rotor combines. They replace conventional concave systems with a more versatile, durable, and effective solution that eliminates the need for crop-specific concaves or cover plates. The system is engineered to reduce time spent adjusting equipment, minimize grain loss, and enable smoother, uninterrupted harvest operations. With its multi-crop adaptability and durable construction, Razor’s Edge gives farmers a smarter, more efficient way to get the most from their combines and their crops.

Describe target market(s):

Salford Group

Salford Valmar AB640 Pull-Type Air Boom

Explain why this is an innovation:

The Valmar AB640’s increased boom swath reduces the number of passes required to cover a field and can significantly reduce soil compaction. The 90-foot boom is 29% wider than the competitor’s 70-foot air boom. Over a ¼ section of land (or 160 acres), the AB640 requires 8 fewer passes compared to a 70-foot boom system (30 vs 38 passes). This results in a 21% reduction in compaction by reducing the total area affected by wheel traffic. One study found that corn yields in compacted areas were reduced by 30 bushels per acre compared to non-compacted areas (160 bu/ac in non-compacted areas vs 130 bu/ac in compacted areas). Based on this data, a 21% reduction in compaction can increase yields by up to 6.3 bushels per acre in corn. Assuming a $4.10/bushel corn price, this would mean a potential $25.83/acre increase in profitability. (https://extension.umn.edu/soil-management-and-health/soil-compaction#sources-1200560)

The increased productivity of the AB640 allows for producers to cover more ground in a shorter time frame. This means less labor and tractor hours required for the operation. The AB640’s 640 cubic foot capacity and 90-foot booms can cover a ¼ section of land (160 acres) in 1 hour and 30 minutes without requiring a fill stop (based on 65 lbs/cu.ft. density running 260 lbs/ac rate at 14 MPH) The competitors 70-foot boom and 340 cubic foot capacity covers the same area in 2 hours and 10 minutes (using same density, rate and speed). This means 40 minutes of saved time in tractor and labor hours (per ¼ section). A 390 horsepower tractor costs approximately $245.00 per hour to operate (overhead, fuel, labor, 2023 stat). For a 5000 acre farm, the reduced labor and engine hours would save their operation upwards of $5,104.17 per year.
https://farmdoc.illinois.edu/assets/management/machinery-costs/machinery-cost-estimates_summary_2023.pdf

The Valmar AB640 has also improved safety for operators with a completely redesigned hopper. Previous air boom options only featured a straight frame design which caused issues with negative tongue weight as the machine empties from front to back. The AB640’s redesigned frame features a 5° tapered floor, a 6° wall and 8.5° bottom rail, all designed to properly balance the weight of the machine as it empties. This significantly improves in-field safety for operators, improving stabilization and reduces “hitch slap” which can cause damage to both the tractor and the implement.

The Valmar AB640 gives producers the ability to use variable rate technology which can reduce input costs and boost overall farm profitability. Using the Raven RCM®, the AB640 can be configured to apply separate variable rate applications for the main hopper and micro bin as well as LH/RH section shut off. One study looking at variable rate technology application of fertilizer in wheat found an overall net return of $20.59 per acre. This reduces overlap and excess application of fertilizer which not only makes the producer more profitable but has positive environmental impacts, reducing fertilizer leaching into waterways. https://www.agro.crs/wcm/connect/www.agro.crs5301/d232f577-86a9-437a-a251-8376ada99275/Sample+Yield+Report+-+W23.pdf?MOD=AJPERES&CVID=lPQT6tX

The capacity of the AB640 air boom provides growers with next level filling efficiency. With a 640 cubic foot capacity and a 65 lbs/cu.ft. product, the AB60 can carry up to 41,600 lbs of product. This gives operators the ability to unload the entire contents of a standard tandem axle tender trailer. This allows the tender driver to refill the entire trailer while the AB640 spreads instead of waiting to empty a partial load. During tight spring and fall application windows, the AB640 provides peak operational efficiency, covering more acres in less time.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The AB640 90 ft. Pull-Type Air Boom is designed to be used for granular application in commercial crop production. The AB640 640 cubic foot hopper is primarily used for application of granular fertilizer, but it can also apply granular crop protection products (ex. Granular herbicides such as Gowan Edge® MicroActiv®), grass seed, canola and a wide range of cover crop seeds. The 100 cubic foot micro bin with secondary metering allows for the versatility to fertilize and seed (ex. Canola or cover crops) or fertilize and apply crop protection products without requiring an additional field pass.

Describe target market(s):

Agricultural producers that grow field crops or custom application operators will see the largest benefit from the Valmar AB640 Pull-Type Air Boom Applicator. Due to the size of the machine, larger farming operations (3000+ acres) or custom applicators covering a high number of acres per year will see the greatest return. These producers will benefit from accurately applied granular products, reduced compaction, less labor and tractor hours, applying multiple products in the same pass, and improved operator safety.

List main direct or indirect competitor(s):

Salford is the only manufacturer to offer pull-type air boom applicators to the North American agriculture market. The only competitive air boom offering on the market would be the chassis mounted AGCO AirMax R1/R2 which offers a 70-foot air boom and a maximum capacity of 275 cubic feet (R2 or dual bin offering features a 235 cubic foot capacity). The Valmar AB640 offers superior boom swath and capacity with a 90-foot boom and 640 cubic foot hopper capacity. There are a small number of pull-type air booms available in the European market from brands such as Kuhn and Horsch (not available to the NA market). The AB640 outperforms these European spreaders in terms of hopper capacity and the maximum rates achieved. Being able to spread at high rates of up to 725 lbs/ac is extremely important to growers in the North America where application rates are typically much higher than rates used by growers in Europe due to strict regulation of fertilizer application. Indirect competitors of the AB640 include pull-type spinner spreaders. These include offerings from brands such as Doyle, Heartland, Chandler, Loftness and New Leader. The AB640 Pull-Type Air Boom allows for more accurate application of granular fertilizer, particularly in windy conditions. The AB640 is also capable of applying multiple products and blends with various densities more accurately than a spinner spreader. Along with the better accuracy and spread coverage, the AB640 is larger capacity than most of the spinner spreader options available on the market making it a great fit in larger ag operations.

STX3 Diesel Driven Direct Drive Auger

Explain why this is an innovation:

The STX3 redefines portable auger performance with a bold leap forward in engineering and efficiency. As the first diesel-powered direct drive portable auger on the market, the STX3 eliminates belts and pulleys in favor of a reliable, mechanical PTO system—delivering unmatched power transfer, reduced maintenance and consistent performance in the field.

At the heart of the STX3 is a 56HP Kohler diesel engine, chosen for its superior torque, fuel efficiency and extended engine life. This diesel powerhouse ensures lower operating costs and better performance under load—exactly what today’s farmers demand.

Key innovations include:

• Diesel driven direct drive system: A market-first in portable augers, this system delivers more torque with fewer moving parts. No belts to slip, stretch or replace—just pure, mechanical efficiency.

• Open discharge spout: Engineered for smoother grain flow, it reduces plugging and horsepower demand, keeping operations efficient and stress-free.

• Manual clutch engagement: Offers precise control when engaging the auger, minimizing wear and ensuring a smoother start every time.

• Heavy-duty gearboxes: Dual gearboxes connected by a solid shaft provide long-term durability and superior power transfer under heavy loads.

• Solid drive shaft: Built for strength and longevity, it reduces maintenance while maximizing performance.

• High-clearance intake hopper: Designed for easier setup and faster unloading, even under tight bin clearances.

• Triple flighting in hopper: A third flight increases intake speed and throughput, moving more grain in less time.

• Upgraded hopper guard: Redesigned to boost capacity while keeping grain contained and operations clean.

• All-wheel drive mover kit: Heavy-duty and highly maneuverable, it simplifies positioning even in challenging terrain.

• Telescopic drive shaft cover: Provides easier access for maintenance, saving time and improving serviceability.

Additional features: Includes Wear Edge Technology(TM) on intake flighting, sealed and lubricated top end, and bright LED work lights for safer, longer workdays.

The STX3 isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a transformation. By combining diesel efficiency, direct drive reliability and farmer-focused design, it sets a new standard for portable augers. This is innovation that works as hard as the people who use it.

Describe the purpose of this product or service:

The STX3 is designed to streamline grain handling operations for farmers by delivering maximum power, efficiency and reliability in a portable auger. Its primary purpose is to move large volumes of grain quickly and safely from storage bins, trucks or grain carts—while minimizing downtime, maintenance and operator effort.
